Susan was born and raised in the Atlanta, Georgia area and recently moved to Arkansas from the South Georgia coast with her family. She attended The University of Georgia for her undergraduate education and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She went on to attend Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee where she graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. Susan specialized in the area of Acute Care and is a certified Acute Care Adult Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in several different fields of Cardiology during her career, both inpatient and outpatient, and in Internal Medicine in the clinic and institutional settings. Susan is an advocate for patient education as a primary tool in helping patients stay active participants in their own health care. She now lives in Little Rock with her husband and their three sons.
